The Heinineva solar power plant, to be completed in late 2025, will be one of the largest in Finland and the first ever to be built in a phased-out peat production area. There will be around 123,000 solar panels installed in the park.
Construction of the substation in Heinineva, Lapua, took roughly 10 months and enables the electricity generated by the EPV solar farm to be transmitted into the main grid. This will start in September.
EPV’s first industrial-scale solar park is to be built in Lapua. All main contractors have now been secured for the project. The construction and installation phases of the project will provide employment for more than 100 people.
