All panels installed at Heinineva solar park – watch the video of the park’s completion

The installation work for EPV Energy’s first industrial-scale solar park was completed last August. A newly released video offers a closer look at the various stages involved in constructing one of Finland’s largest solar parks.

EPV’s solar power project in Heinineva, Lapua, is nearing completion. In August, the project reached a major milestone as the installation of approximately 123,000 solar panels was completed. The installation began in July 2024, meaning the panel work took around 13 months in total.

“Currently, final finishing touches are still being carried out at the Heinineva park. As autumn progresses, the focus will shift increasingly from construction to automation and production testing across the entire site. Commercial production at Heinineva is set to begin in early 2026”, says Ari Soininen, Managing Director of EPV Aurinkovoima.

What kind of phases were involved in building Finland’s first solar power park on a former peat production area? These can be explored in more detail in the video below, which showcases the completion of the 120-hectare solar park over the course of the nearly 1.5-year construction project.
